Kistler Releases Updated Line of Ceramic Shear Accelerometers


August 2016, MARIETTA, GA ~ Kistler Instruments is pleased to announce the release of the revised 8774 and 8776 accelerometers, making this a cost effective family of accelerometers with many features NOT AVAILABLLE from other vendors. Available in 50g, 100g, 250g and 500g ranges, this sensor family is expected to be one of the most popular in Kistler's portfolio. Offering a modular concept, these 3 gram sensors can be chosen with integral stud or a ground isolated adhesive base.

The wide frequency response, and low noise level of the design will allow usage in the most demanding applications. A top or side connector version can be selected for the most popular applications, whereas an IP68 waterproof solution with an integral cable is also offered. The IP68 option will be certified to survive up to 48 hours of continuous exposure to 16 bars of pressure with certificate provided to the customer. Target applications include Structural Testing or Operational Modal Analysis.

For the Underwater Version

  • Already targeted for Nuclear Power plant acceptance testing of reactor and heat exchangers
