GRAS Releases New 42AG Multifunction Sound Calibrator Developed as an improved replacement for the successful 42AB Sound Calibrator, the new G.R.A.S. 42AG Multifunction Sound Calibrator is designed for fast verification of microphones and sound level meters in the field. Other benefits include:
Portable, battery powered and designed specifically for in-the-field use
Easy-to-use OLED Display
For documentation purposes, 42AG provides display of the environmental conditions: ambient air pressure, temperature.
Functional and practical all-in-box solution
Proven stability
Time-saving and cost effective
New Multi-Function Features
In addition, 42AG can calibrate at two different sound pressure levels. A normal level of 114 dB, which is a sound pressure level suitable for microphones with medium sensitivity. The low level of 94 dB makes it possible to calibrate high-sensitivity microphones, like low-noise microphones, without overload.
Portable & User Friendly
“42AG represents new improved functionality and ease of use. There is a real need for portable and user friendly calibrator that can be used for testing in multiple situations. The combination of portability, automatic level adjustment and two calibration frequencies and levels makes it a complete, reliable and self-sufficient solution that can be used to perform complete field-verifications without the need for other instrumentation, e.g. for recording ambient calibration conditions.”
The 42AG conforms to the standard IEC 60942 for a Class 1 sound calibrator and is available for sale from June 1st.
