Acuity Lasers, a Division of Schmitt
Industries, Inc., has chosen FLW Southeast to act as their exclusive
sales representative throughout the Southeastern US, including the
states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South
Carolina, & Tennessee. Acuity laser measurement sensors are
precision devices manufactured by Schmitt Industries, Inc. Acuity
sensor and scanner products satisfy diverse dimensional measuring
applications for industrial automation and advanced research. Acuity
sensors use laser triangulation, time-of-flight or confocal chromatic displacement measurement
principles for high-accuracy position measurement installations.
-
Acuity Precision Confocal Displacement Sensors: The AccuRange™ CCS Prima white light
confocal measurement sensor is the most precise measurement system from Acuity. Using
a novel optical principle of measuring the reflected light’s component wavelengths, these
confocal sensors measure distance and position to within tens of nanometers. These
compact probes can measure to opaque, shiny or even transparent surfaces.
-
Acuity Laser Displacement Sensors: The AR200 laser measurement sensor is Acuity's
most compact product to employ a CMOS detector. Four metric models satisfy precision
measuring requirements from 6 mm to 50 mm with up to 12 micron accuracy. The AR700
laser displacement sensor is Acuity's newest, high-resolution sensors. Models vary in
measuring range and can achieve resolutions better than 0.2 micron. Increased sampling
speeds to 9.4 Khz satisfy the requirements of the road profiling industry.
-
Acuity Laser Rangefinders: The AccuRange 4000 laser rangefinder is Acuity's fastest
sensor for measuring long distances. Employing time-of-flight measuring principles, the
rangefinder can accurately gage distances up to 54 feet (16.45 m). Non-contact
measurement is made simple with the three models within the AR4000 rangefinder series
that have different laser diodes. All models are compact and durable, residing in a NEMA-4
enclosure for challenging industrial environments.
-
Acuity 2D Laser Profile Scanners: Acuity offers three types of 2D laser line scanners. The
first is the AccuProfile 620 laser profile sensor which uses laser triangulation to accurately
dimension small-to-medium-sized objects and surfaces. Second, we offer the AccuProfile
820 Laser Scanners which offer greater precision than the 620. The AccuRange Line Scanner
is comprised of a laser rangefinder and a spinning mirror assembly which scans full 360° up
to 16.5 meters in range.
-
Acuity 3D Laser Scanners: The AccuProfile 920 Laser Scanner is a turn-key scanning
appliance for industrial and research applications. With a revolutionary aiming system the
scanner can rapidly scan full 3D scenes or be configured to raster regions of interest to
reveal surface detail with dimensions. Typical applications include volume estimation, 3D
geometry acquisition and scene reconstruction.
