Mettler Toledo Thornton Introduces Pure Water Optical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor

January 2014, MARIETTA, GA - The Pure Water Optical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor with Intelligent Sensor Management (ISM®) technology provides high accuracy, fast response, and increased stability in demanding low ppb-level applications.

METTLER TOLEDO Thornton is introducing the NEW Pure Water Optical Dissolved Oxygen (ODO) Sensor for use with the M800 multi-parameter transmitter. The Pure Water Optical DO Sensor is fully equipped with Intelligent Sensor Management (ISM) technology to simplify handling and reduce maintenance. Predictive Diagnostics ensure that the sensor status can be monitored in real-time for pre-emptive calibration or opto-cap replacement.

The Pure Water Optical DO Sensor provides faster response than competitive sensors and increase stability in demanding low ppb-level power and microelectronics applications. Important features include:

  • Wide measurement range [0-5000ppb] & temperature range of 10 – 50°C accommodates applications in cycle chemistry & make up water monitoring.

  • M800 multi-parameter transmitter accommodates 1 or 2 optical DO sensors and parameters such as pH/ORP & conductivity.

  • Requires no electrolyte or polarization reducing maintenance and increasing up time.

  • Resistant to iron fouling and hydrogen interference, a distinct advantage over polarographic sensors.

Optical technology in 12 mm design is now also available for power plant & semi-conductor applications. These innovative optical sensors offer high performance together with reduced and simplified maintenance. The outstanding measure¬ment performance with low detection limit, minimum drift and short response time improves oxygen monitoring to minimize corrosion.

Outstanding measurement performance with low detection limit, minimum drift, and short response time significantly improves oxygen monitoring. METTLER TOLEDO’s proprietary OptoCapTM sensing element provides very accurate oxygen determination and easy maintenance without electrolyte handling. Additionally, the OptoCap eliminates the need for polarization, making the measuring system readily available and reducing downtime. Intelligent Sensor Management (ISM) simplifies sensor handling and provides diagnostic tools for predicting sensor maintenance before measurements are affected.
