Mettler Toledo Bulletin: Accessing Digital Manuals and Ending Key Shaped Knife Shipments

A. In response to growing environmental concerns and digitalization trends, Mettler Toledo is reducing printed paper with their products, particularly printed manuals. The aim is to balance ecological responsibility with the digital demands of customers.

Key Changes for Manuals:

  1. Reduction in Printed Manuals: Essential safety information will now be printed in English only. Comprehensive technical documentation in multiple languages will be easily accessible digitally.
  2. Digital Access Methods:
  • Method 1: Scanning a QR code on the product label.
  • Method 2: Scanning a QR code on the Single Page Safety Instruction.
  • Method 3: Manually navigating to www.mt.com "Technical Documentation" or via www.mt.com/documents using the material number/part number.

B. Mettler Toledo is also discontinuing the delivery of key-shaped knives used to remove the silicone layer on diaphragm in pressurized reference pH sensors due to safety concerns and unsustainability. These knives will still be available for free upon request during a transition period. Please contact the Process Hotline (Process.Hotline@mt.com) and order knives separately.

Elimination of Knives:

  1. Wave 1 (Starting January 1st, 2024): pH and DO sensors.
  2. Wave 2 (During Q1 2024): CO2, Gas, Turbidity (RAMS), Conductivity, and Ozone sensors.
