Mettler Toledo Introduces Sanitary Sensors with Shorter Insertion Length

May 2016, MARIETTA, GA

METTLER TOLEDO Thornton has released three new sanitary 0.1 cm-1 stainless steel sensors into the UniCond® conductivity/resistivity product portfolio. Two of these sensors are shorter in length, 1.5" TriClamp® Sensors, and enable installation into compact piping configurations. These sensors are available in both analog and ISM versions. The remaining sensor has been designed with an, aseptic, ISO DN25 Bund fitting for use in water systems using this type of flange connection.

The preferred installation orientation for standard sanitary conductivity sensors places the measurement area of the sensor in the middle of the flowing stream as shown below to ensure fast response. If a modified installation is required the shorter insertion length design provides adequate responsiveness. Temperature, pressure, range and accuracy specifications are the same as those listed for standard length sanitary sensors.
