The customer is a large, mid-sized tier 2 specialty chemical manufacturer. This company manufactures fracking chemicals from two major production facilities and 7-8 blend sites.

Application
The customer uses Coriolis flowmeters throughout their manufacturing processes for measuring flow in and out of reactors. A specific load-out from a reactor had vibration, steam cleaning between batches, high temperature. The company tried various flowmeters from the competition, but all were 5-10% off actual flow totals, which is unacceptable to the company. After multiple visits from Siemens sales engineers, the customer agreed to have a Siemens FC430 coriolis flowmeter installed as a trial.

Solution
After a four week trial period, the customer stated that the Siemens FC430 coriolis flowmeter performed better than their expectations and was producing readings 0.5% accuracy or better. Based on the trial results for this difficult application, the customer (18) Siemens FC430 coriolis flowmeters for use in various parts of the plant. High accuracy and stable performance enabled customer to drastically improve production metrics. Additionally, the support from the local sales and applications personnel ensured that all flowmeters performed as needed.
