At last! Connect your standalone legacy equipment to the Cloud with Define Instruments Zen IoT

March 2017, MARIETTA, GA -  Dallas TX based Define Instruments launches its Zen IoT, an industrial IoT gateway and Cloud Edge processing device.

The Zen IoT provides the device-to-cloud connectivity to allow companies to utilize existing equipment rather than shouldering the cost of replacement.

As a Cloud Edge processing device, the Zen IoT is able to perform calucations (do math) on data before transmitting, ensuring only the meaningful data is pushed to the Cloud and keeping bandwith costs to a minimum.

While most Cloud Gateways only convert Modbus to wireless, the Zen IoT converts process signals direct to wireless with no other devices required.

The Zen IoT features a universal input which accepts TC, RTD, mA, mV, V and Pulse. The unit also supports a wide range of communication protocols including Modbus and MQTT.

Its physical connections include Ethernet, WiFi, 3G/4G cellular modems, RS484 and Bluetooth.
