April 2020, MARIETTA, GA ~ Phosphorus, primarily existing as phosphate, is a nutrient of concern for many wastewater operators. Effluent phosphorus limits continue to be lowered to protect our lakes and rivers from eutrophication. To meet these limits, operators need to improve treatment processes to remove phosphorus as efficiently as possible.
